Atherton Cemetery has two derelict chapels sitting next to each other and there is another at Tyldesley. These always hold a fascination as we always want to know what lies within. This image is from a sequence shot when we gained entry to the Atherton chapels, which inside are a sorry sight indeed. The buildings are being left to rot, but it is still not too late to save them.
