eBay Commission Sales
I have been selling items on eBay for a number of years, basically reducing my camera and book collections, but sometimes also selling some items as a favour to close friends.
I am now offering this facility as part of John Riley Photography.
How It Works
You provide me with the goods you wish to sell. These will be cameras and/or photographic related items old or new as this is where my expertise lies. We discuss whether or not you have a minimum price, but bear in mind that setting a reserve in an auction usually inhibits bidders.
I photograph the items and make the listing on eBay under my User Name johnriley1uk
When the sale is made I deduct the listing fee, final value fee and PayPal fee and you get 70% of the profit on the item. I get 30% as my commission. The amount is paid to you when the buyer has placed their positive feedback or indicated that they are happy with the goods. Goods are never sent until payment is received and cleared.
If there is no sale we discuss whether or not to change and repeat the listing and the same process applies.
Most photographic items will sell and desireable items will fetch a good price. As photographic retailers no longer take in second hand cameras, particularly film cameras, then this is a good way to find those obsolete items a new home and turn them into cash.
